This Privacy Notice explains how S Plus ("S Plus", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the S+ application and related services (the "Service"). S Plus is the data controller for the personal data described here.
1. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, authentication identifiers, language and app preferences.
- Content you provide: voice recordings you capture, meeting audio you choose to record, transcripts, summaries, notes, calendar events, reminders, and messages you send to the in-app AI assistant.
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, actions taken, feature usage, crash reports, device type, operating system, browser, approximate location derived from IP address, and IP address itself.
- Support data: messages and attachments you send to our support team.
- Billing data: subscription plan and status. Payment details are collected and processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us. We receive a purchase identifier used only to unlock your subscription.
2. How we use personal data
- To create your account and provide the Service (contract performance).
- To transcribe, summarize, and organize the content you submit, using AI models operated by us and by trusted subprocessors (contract performance).
- To keep the Service secure and to prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interests).
- To fix bugs, improve the Service, and develop new features (legitimate interests).
- To provide customer support (contract performance / legitimate interests).
- To send service and account emails, and, with your consent where required, product updates (consent / legitimate interests).
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting (legal obligation).
3. AI processing of your content
When you record audio or ask the assistant a question, your content is processed by AI models to produce transcripts, summaries, and answers. We do not use your content to train foundation models without your consent. Model providers act as our subprocessors and are contractually restricted to processing your content only to deliver the requested output.
4. Who we share personal data with
- Service providers / subprocessors that help us operate the Service, including cloud hosting, database, authentication, AI model providers, transcription, analytics, and customer-support tooling.
- Apple and Google, which process in-app purchases and subscriptions and act as the merchant of record for App Store and Google Play sales, respectively.
- RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider, which validates App Store and Google Play receipts and reports entitlement status to the app.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting, insurance) under duties of confidentiality.
- Authorities where we are required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of S Plus or others.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
5. International transfers
Our subprocessors may be located outside your country, including outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes above. When you delete a recording, transcript, or event, we remove it from active systems and from backups on a rolling schedule. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it (for example, invoicing and tax records).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent. UK/EEA users additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We will respond to verified requests within one month.
To exercise these rights, contact S Plus through the in-app support in Settings.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; we work to address vulnerabilities responsibly when they are reported.
9. Cookies and analytics
The Service uses essential cookies and similar technologies required to sign you in and remember your preferences. Where we use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used, we do so with your consent where required, and you can manage your preferences from your browser settings.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 16 (or the higher age required in your country). If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you in-app or by email.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact S Plus through the in-app support in Settings. For payment or billing questions, contact Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through your account subscriptions page.
